Don Rickles & George Burns

Don’t miss this hilarious night of stand-up comedy that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen, DON RICKLES & GEORGE BURNS: A TRIBUTE TO TWO COMEDY LEGENDS STARRING PETER SALZER AND MICHAEL WALTERS, live at the Mizner Park Cultural Center on November 17, 2018!

Michael Walter as Don Rickles

“It was like looking in a mirror!” said Don Rickles upon meeting Michael Walter for the first time.

Michael has been a comedian for the past 36 years, working comedy stages coast to coast, with appearances in Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq to entertain the troops. He did a year at Harrah’s Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, as the comedy star of SHOWGIRLS, where people compared him to comedy greats Don Rickles and Jonathan Winters. He has appeared on Showtime, MTV and America’s Funniest People.

After losing his hair in a terrible aging accident, people told him he looked like Don Rickles. Michael began doing a “tribute” to the comedy legend. In 2013, he won the prestigious Platinum Showcase Award at The Sunburst Convention for Celebrity Impersonators and Tribute Artists. He followed that with the Gold Showcase in 2014. His rapid-fire wit is very much like Rickles. Don’t miss this hysterically funny man coming to Mizner Park this season!

Peter Salzer as George Burns

Peter Salzer first played the part of George Burns in “Dreams of Broadway” at the Tropicana in Atlantic City in 2001, after which he started his GEORGE BURNS TRIBUTE career. He was awarded the Sunburst Celebrity Sunny Award, Agents Best Impressionist (2016) in September 2016. At the Sunburst Convention, he met Lynn Roberts who impersonates Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Red Skelton and Jimmy Durante which resulted in GEORGE BURNS AND FRIENDS, a two-act play, which they have performed around the country. He recently added a third tribute show to his repertoire when Betsy Wickard joined him as Gracie Allen in “TOGETHER AGAIN, GEORGE BURNS AND GRACIE ALLEN.”

Peter Salzer is an experienced actor, comedian, tribute and voice-over artist living in Delray Beach, FL. He co-starred in the movie “Revenge is a Promise,” which was released in the Fall of 2016. He appeared opposite Phillip Seymour Hoffman in the movie version of the Tony Award-winning play DOUBT, and was featured in an episode of “The Sopranos,” and as Manny Kimmel in the History Channel series “Breaking Vegas.” His film career includes featured parts in many independent movies.

On stage, Peter has played Al Jolson in GERSHWIN BY GEORGE, John Adams and Hyam Solomon for the American Historical Theatre. AAA selected Peter to host for “Roadwise Review,” a safe driving program for seniors. He has appeared in numerous commercials, and is best known as the football referee in the Turkey Hill Ice Cream TV commercial. In addition to many radio commercials, Peter is the voice of President Harry Truman in a multimedia program at the White House Visitor Center and on its website. His many voices and dialects make him a much sought-after voice-over actor.
